All-New 2020 Jeep Gladiator Features and Specs
Back in April, Jeep released their new midsize truck, the Jeep Gladiator. It boasts the frame of the iconic Jeep Wrangler, but has a bed. The Jeep Wrangler has always screamed adventure, but the Gladiator kicks it up a notch with 60-inches of cargo space to haul camping gear, fishing supplies or whatever you please. Like many Jeep models, Jeep’s truck has received the Trail Rated® badge of honor. Let’s check out what’s happening on the all-new 2020 Jeep Gladiator by digging into its features and specs.
The exterior of the 2020 Gladiator features the same cabin as the Wrangler with different top options, which include No Top, Zipperless Sunrider® Soft Top, Body-Color Hardtop and Black Freedom Top® Hardtop. You can also remove the truck’s doors. The bed on the Gladiator is a 5-foot steel box that is perfect for your hauling needs and additional cargo can be secured with the Trail Rail™ Cargo Management System. There is also a 115-volt weatherproof power outlet in the bed, which comes in handy if you need to charge a battery or hook up your power tools.
Interior Features and Specs
For starters, the truck is equipped with a standard 5- to 7-inch touchscreen display, depending on the trim level option, and eight speakers dispersed throughout the cabin. Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto are standard on the higher grades, but the Audio Jack Input, USB and Auxiliary port for mobile devices are standard across all trim levels.
Through the Uconnect® system, the driver can answer the phone and control music through steering-wheel mounted controls. With the available SiriusXM Guardian, the Gladiator is connected to your smartphone, which provides remote access to the car from anywhere. The Jeep truck also comes equipped with a couple of built in features, like the removable waterproof Bluetooth speaker that charges in its compartment and the lockable storage box located in the rear seating area.
Under the Hood
The Jeep Gladiator has a 3.6-liter V6 24V VVT Engine with Engine Stop and Start. Each trim level has a standard 6-speed manual transmission with and optional 8-speed automatic 850RE Transmission. Additionally, Command-Trac® Part-Time 4WD System is standard across all grades.
